Piano Day 2024 at Coponat Records, held this past March, was an extraordinary celebration of piano artistry, elevated by the exciting partnerships with Yamaha and Twitch.

The artists delivered a series of mesmerizing performances that blended neoclassical and electronic piano music. For 3 hours, the pianists performed a mix of original repertoire, covers and classical music.

Thanks to Yamaha’s state-of-the-art instruments and Twitch’s live-streaming platform, the event reached a global audience, offering intimate concerts, exclusive masterclasses, and boundary-pushing performances. This collaboration between top-tier technology and musical passion made Piano Day 2024 a standout event for music lovers and enthusiasts worldwide. It was live-streamed on Sarah Coponat’s (Coponat Records co-owner) Twitch channel.

The company Coponat Records, founded in 2020, aims to produce musical events and content, providing support to artists in the development of their careers.

It has produced concerts on major stages worldwide and collaborated with numerous renowned artists (France, Netherlands, United States, Germany, Senegal…). It notably produces the virtuoso pianist Sarah Coponat, representing the n°1 100% live music channel on the Twitch platform.

Its 100m2 studio in Sanary sur Mer is equipped with high-end audio and video equipment and features one of the world’s finest concert pianos, a Yamaha CFX latest generation.

Piano Day is an annual event celebrating the piano, its music, and the musicians who play it. It was founded in 2015 by German pianist and composer Nils Frahm. The event is celebrated on the 88th day of the year, which symbolizes the number of keys on a standard piano (88 keys).

The goal of Piano Day is to bring together pianists, composers, and music lovers from all around the world to appreciate the instrument, encourage creativity, and share music.

Edouard Ferlet

Edouard Ferlet, a French jazz pianist, studied classical music at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. He also explored jazz in Boston, earning his degree from the Berklee College of Music in 1992.

He formed a trio with Jean-Philippe Viret, receiving accolades. His debut solo album, “Par Tous Les Temps” (2004), was well-received. He has accompanied various artists and directed music for Julia Migenes’ international show. In 2006, he founded the label Mélisse Productions. His albums, “L’Echarpe d’lris” (2007) and “Think Bach” (2012), garnered praise. A second installment of “Think Bach” was released in 2017.

Remi Panossian

Rémi Panossian, a French jazz pianist and composer, is known for blending energetic jazz with lyrical sensitivity. He gained recognition through the Rémi Panossian Trio, releasing multiple albums and performing at major international festivals. His music is a fusion of jazz, rock, and classical influences, characterized by rhythmic drive and melodic invention. Panossian has toured extensively across Europe, Asia, and North America, sharing stages with renowned musicians. His collaborative spirit and dynamic performances have made him a notable figure in contemporary jazz, with his albums consistently praised for their innovation and emotional depth.

Katinka von Richter

Katinka von Richter is an innovative pianist, creating artistic videos that showcase classical music. Her YouTube series “Instant Piano Paris” attracts a new audience by blending music and cinema, with films by Daniele Vella. Her album, dedicated to Brahms’ Sonatas, was released in 2023 on Klanglogo. She performs on Radio France and gives concerts in museums and prestigious venues. Her expressive playing, influenced by masters such as Oxana Yablonskaya, defines her performances, merging classical music with contemporary art. Since 2023, she has been teaching at the Rachmaninoff Conservatory in Paris.

Sarah Coponat

Sarah Coponat, a young French pianist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, is celebrated for her groundbreaking work at the intersection of classical and electronic music. Known for her virtuosic improvisation, she gained international attention with performances on streaming platforms like Twitch and amassed millions of streams on Spotify. She has toured globally, performing at prestigious venues and festivals, captivating audiences with her emotive and genre-defying style. Sarah’s prolific output includes five solo piano albums, and she has received accolades for her ability to push the boundaries of neoclassical music, blending cinematic and electronic elements into her compositions.
